Athletic Ashtanga Yoga: This class is designed to bring a strong practice to those who have some yoga or athletic experience. Sarah offers a series of challenging poses and flows to boost strength, endurance and concentration.

 

Yoga for Back Care: Svaroopa Yoga brings you this gentle, beginning class focused on developing a home practice for those with back pain, injury, spinal condition or unable to do other forms of yoga.

 

Blend Yoga: A fusion of many styles of yoga. Although Annie keeps it fresh by mixing it up regularly, flow, alignment, balance, breath work and meditation are always included to leave you feeling strong, relaxed and renewed.

 

Gentle Blend Yoga: Gentle Blend is a slower paced alternative to the stronger Blend Yoga. Postures are presented in an easy to follow, accessible manner with plenty of time for modifications. This class is an excellent choice for seniors.

 

Bliss Yoga: This class will open the body and release tension through a series of flowing postures, breath and movement. Emphasis is placed on optimal alignment, calming the nervous system, and waking up the joy that abides within. A sweet and refreshing way to start your Sunday morning! (Begins March 4)

 

Yoga for Cancer Survivors: This class offers the sweet, simple practice of Restorative Yoga. It includes gentle stretches, breathing and relaxation techniques and tools to help improve your quality of life. Please check with your doctor if you are under medical care. Each class is a suggested donation of $5. This class is generously sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center.

 

Hatha Yoga: (Formerly Soulfood) For those of you who tried Soulfood, the class remains unchanged.  For those of you not quite sure what Soulfood was, the name change better reflects the nature of the class - Classic Yoga with a twist - an emphasis on strengthening and stretching where the only thing we take seriously is your safety and comfort (never ourselves).  Yoga should be happy.  You will leaving feeling refreshed and renewed and ready for your day.  

 

KIDS ONLY!: This class will introduce Yoga stretches, breath awareness and calming of the mind practices to youngsters between 4 years and 12. We will explore our strong Warriors, our flying Butterflies, our still Rock poses and so much more in this fun and creative class. Each class will be unique to fit the needs of the students who attend. Parents are welcome to stay but are encouraged to allow the class to be for KIDS ONLY! Register early-space is filled quickly!

 

Kundalini Yoga: This class gives you “hands on” experience of your highest consciousness by practicing a variety of postures, meditations and mantras. It teaches a method by which you can achieve the sacred purpose of your life.

 

Meditative Movement: This class focuses on connecting the breath through flowing and holding poses, releasing tension and finding strength in our core. This is a $10 Community Class.

 

Prenatal Yoga: This nurturing practice is the perfect opportunity to connect mindfully to yourself and your baby. You will build strength, flexibility and balance, increase energy, and sooth the pains and discomforts of pregnancy. Increasing body, breath and baby awareness will help promote a healthy, joyful pregnancy and prepare you for labor, birth and motherhood. Come build community and share this powerful transitional life experience with other moms-to-be. This class is suitable for all levels.

 

Transcend Flow: This is a dynamic & creative Vinyasa flow class that intends to take each student safely & appropriately to their edge of potential. Through playful sequencing, the foundation of each posture is set, & then from this safe & stable place we can explore our boundaries & discover our true potential. Transcend Flow is available to all students inspired to delve deep into their practice in order to expand & transcend. (Begins March 19)

Gentle Vinyasa: In this class we will mindfully and gently explore the dynamic flow of Vinyasa yoga. Through playful and creative sequencing you will build strength, improve posture and balance, and increase flexibility. Attention will be given to healthy alignment and emphasis placed on connecting movement to the breath. Modifications will always be offered to match your comfort and abilities, whether you are a new or experienced Vinyasa Yogi.
